NetDirect: The right direction for a high school student to build a career
In the middle of April, a conference “Career for High School Students – The Right Direction” took place in the New Hall building of VŠB Technical University of Ostrava. The aim of the conference was the students’ contact with reality in today’s job market or with further study.
On April 15th, 2011, NetDirect took part in the conference designed for high school students. The event was intended to acquaint future technical college graduates in the Moravian-Silesian Region with further education opportunities and bring them face to face with job market reality. Experienced experts tried to motivate the students to develop their professional skills, foreign languages and soft skills.

In the auditorium, crowded with students, there was a lecture on the topic led by Pavel Kramny, NetDirect Project Manager for Strategic Customers, who acquainted the students with functioning and profile of the company. In front of the New Hall, there was also a presentation stand with further information.

The students were most interested in what NetDirect does, what are employment opportunities there and if we offer part-time jobs. Active students had the opportunity to fill out a short questionnaire that allowed them to take part in a draw to win a gift.

Why is it beneficial for students and employers?
The organizers of the event expected from it a better connection in the spheres of education, practice and development cooperation among educational entities and employers. Cooperation of these entities is an important pillar for the integration of graduates into the work process.
