FastCentrik scores again! It wins first prize at the 2011 Microsoft Awards thanks to the project for PEMIC BOOKS

NetDirect demonstrates that it is truly a leader in its field. At this year’s Microsoft Awards, the company pulled off already the seventh victory in the category Software and Web Application Development – Web Solutions.
In the Microsoft Awards competition, IT projects based on new Microsoft technologies are competing annually. NetDirect won first prize in the category Software and Web Application Development – Web Solutions for an e-business project implemented for PEMIC BOOKS a.s. The solution brought the client an increase of the customer’s turnover and also significant savings thanks to lowe personnel demands, which PEMIC BOOKS really appreciated. PEMIC BOOKS is the leading book distributor on the Czech and Slovak market and operates its own e-shops, Family Bokshop and Bookcentre, using e-commerce platform FastCentrik.
Award in the Microsoft Awards competition is a huge success for us because it has become a driving force that compels us to improve our work performance and have the best results. However, victory is also a big commitment because we have to constantly move forward. It is our commitment towards our clients to whom we try to provide the highest quality service.
We succeeded at the 2011 MS AWARDS again!
Victory at the Microsoft Awards competition gives us a great chance to compete with rivals from all over the world for victory in Los Angeles in July 2011. Last year, there were 3 000 great solutions, which means that this year we can expect massive competition as well.

Jan Svoboda and Pavel Kramny (in the middle) are very proud of the NetDirect success, sharing their joy with Roman Cabalek, CEO of the Microsoft Czech branch (on the left), and Jiri Karpeta, Microsoft Director of Development Division (on the right)
The award was accepted by Jan Svoboda, NetDirect CEO, and Pavel Kramny, Project Manager for Strategic Customers, who was the head of the winning contract.
Ing. Jan Svoboda added: “I can’t express how happy I am. I think it wasn’t easy for the jury to decide. All the contestants should have been winners because their solutions are exceptional as well and allow customers to increase their profit and reduce costs. It would be nice if we were able to repeat our last year’s success from Washington during this summer’s WPC in Los Angeles. First prize goes to all the people in NetDirect because together we make great solutions and we distance ourselves from our competitors thanks to continuous improvement.“
